A woman died after being hit by a car in a suspected hit-and-run.
The incident occurred on the corner of Boundary Road and Elizabeth Street, in Urangan, on the Sunshine Coast, around midnight on Sunday.
Queensland Police said the woman, aged in her 40s, was walking along Boundry Road when she was struck and killed by a silver Ford Falcon.
Paramedics rushed to the scene but were unable to save her.

After the collision, the search began for a 41-year-old man.
Police provided an update on Sunday morning revealing that they had found the driver and that he was “assisting with their enquiries”.
No charges have been filed.
“Boundary Road, between Stringbark Street and Booral Road are currently closed while police investigations are underway,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
A crime scene has been set up between Stringybark Drive and Booral Road and that part of the road is closed until further notice.
Anyone with information about the incident or has dash cam footage is asked to contact police.
