You are reaching the end of your annual summer break in Balmoral.

And the Queen was joined by a very special guest in the form of her grandson's wife, Autumn Phillips, while attending a service at Crathie Kirk Church on Sunday.

His Majesty, 92, and Princess Anne's daughter-in-law also joined Charles, Camilla and Prime Minister Theresa May.

The monarch looked resplendent in an electric blue overcoat combined with a wide-brimmed hat adorned with black flowers as he strode through the Aberdeenshire countryside.

Leading the convoy, Theresa May and her husband Philip followed her closely, although the Duke of Edinburgh, who retired last year from his public duties, was nowhere to be seen.

Queen Victoria began to worship in the church in 1848 and every British monarch has since worshiped there during his stay at the nearby Balmoral Castle.
