Hillary Clinton accused Elon Musk of ‘threatening to rape’ Taylor Swift after he offered to give her a child in a bizarre social media post when she endorsed Kamala Harris for president.
The singer announced her support on Instagram after the debate, signing her slogan ‘Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady’ in a criticism of Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance.
Less than two hours later, however, Musk, a father of twelve who has also spoken out against underpopulation in the past, wrote a strange proposal to Swift.
The Tesla and X boss tweeted: ‘Fine Taylor… you win… I’ll give you a baby and take care of your cats with my life.’
Talking on the phone with the journalist The Kara Swisher PodcastSecretary Clinton seemed stunned by his comments.
Hillary Clinton accused Elon Musk of ‘threatening to rape’ Taylor Swift after he offered to give her a child in a bizarre social media post just hours after she endorsed Kamala Harris.
The Tesla and X boss tweeted: ‘Fine Taylor… you win… I’ll give you a baby and take care of your cats with my life.’
“I can’t understand why he says what he says,” Clinton said. “It’s beyond my imagination.”
‘Whether it’s Trump, Musk or any of the other so-called masters of the universe in the tech world, misogyny is part of their worldview and they gravitate toward harshness, brutality and machismo.’
Clinton said Musk’s offer to forcibly “impregnate” Swift was “another way of saying rape.”
“Here’s Taylor Swift, a self-made billionaire who brings joy to people, who teaches life lessons, particularly to girls and women. They can’t stand it,” Clinton said, noting that Swift’s endorsement was always going to “trigger” Trump.
“I mean, if it had happened before the debate, it would have dominated the debate. The fact that it happened right after the debate and just gave momentum to Kamala must have infuriated everybody,” Clinton said.
Swift called herself a “childless cat lady” with her lengthy Instagram post on Tuesday, in which she revealed her 2024 pick and posted an image of herself with one of her three cats.

Trump posted “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” on his Truth Social just five days after she revealed she would be voting for Kamala Harris in November.
Over the weekend, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he hates Swift following the megastar’s endorsement of Harris.
“I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” the former president lashed out.
Five days before, Swift detailed in an extensive Instagram In November, she said she would vote for Harris, but did not personally attack or criticize Trump.
She also encouraged her millions of followers to research the election and register to vote with a link she shared to vote.gov on her Instagram story.
Hundreds of thousands of people (about 340,000) clicked on the link in Swift’s story, which represents a very small percentage of her 284 million followers.
Trump’s post on Sunday is his most moving response to Swift yet.
Immediately after Tuesday’s debate, Trump was asked about his reaction to Swift’s endorsement and he simply replied, “I have no idea.”
While some say Swift’s foray into political waters this election could be a big game-changer in November, polling numbers show her support had little to no influence on the state of the race.
Meanwhile, Musk’s comments about Swift come after he previously spoke about Earth’s “collapsing birth rate” and boasted about how he’s “always beating the baby drum.”
In 2022, when he had already fathered nine children with three different women, he posted on X that he was “doing everything he can to help solve the underpopulation crisis.”
Republican vice presidential candidate Vance has mocked “childless cat ladies” in the past.
In 2021, he told Fox News that the US was being run by Democrats, corporate oligarchs and “a bunch of childless cat-loving women who are miserable with their own lives and the choices they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”
Swift posted her endorsement after Trump and Harris finished their first debate last week.

Swift’s full message read: “Like many of you, I watched tonight’s debate. If you haven’t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the positions these candidates take on the issues that matter most to you. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read as much as I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country,” Swift wrote.
“I recently learned that an AI depicting ‘me’ falsely endorsing Donald Trump’s presidential bid had been posted on their site. It really raised my fears around AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It led me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The easiest way to combat misinformation is with the truth,” she added.
She noted that ‘I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to champion. I think she’s a talented and steady leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we’re guided by calm and not chaos. I was very encouraged and impressed by her choice of running mate @timwalz who has been championing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.’
“I’ve done my research and I’ve made my decision. The research is all yours and the choice is yours. I also want to say, especially to first-time voters: remember that in order to vote, you must be registered! I also find it much easier to vote early. In my story I’ll give you links to places to register and find dates and information for voting early,” she wrote.
She finished it: ‘With love and hope, Taylor Swift Childless Cat Lady.’
Tim Walz learned of the endorsement in real time during an interview on MSNBC.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift,” Walz said. “I say that as a cat owner.”
“That’s the kind of courage we need in America,” she added. “This is an opportunity, Swifties: KamalaHarris.com, go there.”
