Her father was Hank Williams Jr., famous for his hit All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight which is used for the opening of the NFL & Monday Night Football. Her grandfather was Hank Williams Sr., who is considered one of the most influential American singers of the 20th century.

Her life flashed twice before her eyes after a terrible car accident while driving with her sister Holly on March 15, 2006 outside of Memphis, Tennessee, on their mother's grandfather's funeral.

& # 39; I was declared dead twice. I flattened it, & she explained Fox news.

& # 39; The first time I had a heart attack, I went to heaven and saw my grandfather Hank Williams and my grandmother Audrey. They were young and smiling and gave me a big hug … then I came straight back to earth and I woke up, & Williams added.

& # 39; I had no experience then, but they said I died and came back, & # 39; she explained.

She says she survived the crash, although the odds were stacked against her because she is diabetic and has a huge amount of blood lost.

& # 39; I am just so grateful that I am here and grateful. When we got to the wreck, I only had to live for 20 minutes … I lost six liters of blood and I am also a type 1 diabetes. I have had that for 32 years and I went to ketoacidosis when I was in the hospital. My blood sugar level was 500 a week and that could easily have killed me, & she said.

& # 39; I just had so many factors against me, so I know I'm certain for a purpose and reason, & # 39; Williams added.

It took five years and 30 operations, not to mention the flattening twice, for Williams to fully recover from the accident and restart her singing career.

Her latest album Lucky Scars, released in May 2018, tells about her long journey to recovery.

After five years and 30 injuries, she has finally recovered completely and wrote about her painful healing process in her album My Lucky Scars from 2018

& # 39; The scars on my body are God's saving grace. It was just very therapeutic for me to write the album and get the songs out, & she said about her wonderful recovery

& # 39; Actually, when I had my car accident … my lawyer (in Los Angeles) was looking for a record deal for me. So my music career was stopped and it took five years for me to recover, & she added.

Willliams, who comes from a long line of singers, claims that her father never forced & # 39; the music store & # 39; to her or her sister Holly, who is also a singer.

& # 39; He just wanted us to follow our own heart and path and what makes us happy & # 39 ;, she said.

She added that despite his fame and acclaim, Williams Jr. surprisingly didn't play much music around the house.

& # 39; Sometimes he would play guitar and sing songs, but he doesn't listen to the radio in the car, & # 39; she said.
