Hilary Duff got candid about her most recent pregnancy with daughter Mae and revealed that she didn’t really enjoy sex while carrying her third child.
That was in stark contrast to her previous two pregnancies, where she used sex as a means of getting through the final stages of a pregnancy, which can be very uncomfortable for many women.
‘Sex really wasn’t interesting to me all this time. So towards the end, when Banks felt that was a really helpful resource, this time I thought, “No, not for me,” explained the actress, 33, during a conversation with Dr. Elliot Berlin on an issue after the birth of the Informed pregnancy podcast
Hilary Duff, 33, revealed she had decreased sex drive, especially during the latter stages of her pregnancy with daughter Mae, while speaking with Dr. Elliot Berlin for a post-birth edition of Informed Pregnancy Podcast
Thinking that sex could potentially speed labor, Hilary just couldn’t bring herself to get in the mood and do it.
“And it really annoyed me when people said,” You know what really gets things going? ” I’m like, “No!” She said in reference to people offering suggestions on how to rekindle the sex flame with husband Matthew Koma who was 7, 8, 9 months pregnant.

The younger star initially believed her decreased sex drive meant having a second baby boy, but in retrospect she now thinks it was just the way her body told her she was ‘exhausted’.
“I thought I was having a boy because with Banks I was all down, and with this baby I thought …” she added before pausing to consider her eldest daughter Banks, two, and son Luca, nine.
‘I don’t know if maybe it was to have more kids and keep up with everyone who made it a little bit exhausted at night and just really not that much time. I felt a little more protective of my body this time. ‘

During the podcast, the Lizzie McGuire actress also recalled the amount of time she went into labor with Mae, which lasted just three hours.
‘I laughed at the way it went down, because people had to scramble to get home. I thought that was funny and I love to make fun of people. There was humor in it and I really felt ready for it. she revealed People magazine.
‘Then it was probably about an hour and a half to two hours, when they started to get super heavy and I was struggling to keep up. But my mind was in the game and I felt a lot more confident in the way I was born than before. ‘
She added, “So I really tried to be present and relaxed and make every contraction work for me.”
