A hilarious video shows how an entire team of firefighters had to intervene to free a woman from her office chair after her nose ring became trapped in it.
An unfortunate employee in the city of Bandung, Indonesia, got her piercing stuck in her mesh chair after jokingly sticking her nose through the holes, a local fire official said.
“He had a new piercing and was playing around, just for fun, before he made a mistake,” Bandung City Fire Department officer Asep Rizky told local media.
“He kept putting the piercing on the chair and it got stuck, and in the end he had to call the fire department,” she added.
CCTV footage from inside her workplace shows the moment she and her co-workers realized she had gotten into trouble.
Her face is stuck to the back of the wheeled chair and her colleagues reach out to try to disentangle her from it.
Half a dozen people gather to take a look and try to help, but they have no luck and the jewel remains firmly attached to the chair.
They realized they had no choice but to call the local firefighters, who quickly rushed to the scene to offer their help.
The unnamed woman “kept putting the piercing on the chair and it got stuck,” according to a local fire official.

About half a dozen of her colleagues gathered around the woman, and several attempted to gently pry her from the chair.

Firefighters brought out a chainsaw at one point while harassing the woman.
Still unable to separate her from the chair, they carefully transferred her and the seat to a van to take her to the local fire station.
Her friend who accompanied her on the trip couldn’t contain her laughter, local media reports, even though her friend was worried that her new jewelry might be ripped off.
They filmed the entire trip, including the hilarious moment they pulled the woman out of the car, still facing backwards in the chair.
The fire crew responded with good humor as they tried to allay her fears and keep her spirits up, joking as the woman continued to panic.
At one point, they even pulled out a chainsaw and other heavy tools, and chuckled as they pretended to use them on the chair.
Fortunately, no sawing was necessary and a firefighter with a pair of pliers and a steady pair of hands managed to get the woman out of the chair after about 10 minutes of trying.

They put her in the back of a pickup truck and took her to a local fire station to separate her from the chair.

The amusing images show the woman being carried in the chair, with her nose still pressed against the backrest.

The woman excitedly stood up from her chair after finally being freed while the firefighters celebrated with a dance.

The woman posed happily with her rescuers, and with the annoying chair and nose ring, after the terrible experience.
They danced to celebrate and the woman, grateful to finally be freed from the chair, thanked them wholeheartedly.
She was not injured and later happily posed for a photo with her rescuers, and with the annoying chair and nose ring.
The strange nature of the woman’s situation and the cheerful response of firefighters have caused the images to go viral in Indonesia.
The incident occurred on January 11 and the video has been shared widely on social media in the days since, with people praising the firefighters’ actions and applauding the woman’s sense of humor at the end of the ordeal.
