John Durka and his partner use a bright yellow trash bin to clean up the loft space in their London home, which they have owned for five years.

CCTV footage captured the hilarious moment a man threw his wheelbarrow backwards, knocking it over backwards and getting mud all over his body.

John Durka, 38, rented a skip to “declutter” the loft space in his London home on March 31 this year.

The father-of-two thought it would be a “great idea” to place a scaffolding board on the container to act as a ramp.

Mr Durka said: ‘I had a great idea – to use a piece of garden scaffolding as a ramp, thinking I could just roll the wheelbarrow up to the bin to empty it.

“But it was covered in moss. I didn’t realize how slippery it was until it was too late.”

When he pushed the wheelbarrow up the slippery ramp, it tipped over, covering him in debris.

Mr Durka was wearing a grey shirt and trousers and heavy duty black gloves when the wheelbarrow tipped over on him.

He is then caught on camera shaking off the mud after his fall, his ego seemingly more bruised than his body.

Mr Durka, who works as an electrician, said his colleague was worried about him after the fall.

In footage recorded by the home’s security cameras, she can be heard asking monotonously: “Oh, no. Are you OK?”

Mr Durka added: ‘A lot of my friends said they would have pissed themselves and asked why she wasn’t laughing.’

Paul Francis suffered a similar accident involving a forklift in April this year.

He was climbing a ramp to unload his wheelbarrow into a container after doing some yard work when he lost his balance and fell forward.

His wife Nelsi Villalon Aguilera, 44, who was in the kitchen at the time of the incident, checked the Ring doorbell footage to see what happened.

The Bristol customer service coordinator said: ‘I wanted to see how it would fall.

‘I’m Venezuelan, we’ve been married for 13 years and he doesn’t speak it (Spanish).

“When he fell down he used a Venezuelan expression (a bad word) instead of saying ‘shit’. I thought it was very funny.”

Paul was not seriously injured and Nelsi provided him with first aid at home.
