A Florida council meeting erupted in laughter after a highly inappropriate comment echoed among speakers when a middle-aged woman approached the microphone.

The strange moment occurred Tuesday during a meeting of the Seminole County Board of Commissioners in the city of Sanford.

Before the meeting began, Chairman Jay Zembower reminded attendees to silence their cell phones.

About halfway through the hour-long meeting, Zembower introduced Community Services Director Allison Thall to the podium to discuss the annual affordable housing report.

As Thall, 61, prepared his presentation and introduced himself, a robotic male voice rang out and said, “Older women are often perceived as difficult to turn on.”

The embarrassing moment, which appears to come from a board commissioner, begins when Thall takes the podium and says, “Good morning, commissioners, thank you.”

“Let me make sure I’m going in the right direction,” he says, fiddling with a small black remote control in his hand and looking up at a screen.

After getting situated, the director introduces herself and says, “For the record, Allison Thall, director of community services…”

She is soon interrupted by the random recording as Thall’s face turns serious before she and the others start laughing.

A woman shouts: ‘What? What what???’

Thall continues to laugh as he asks, ‘Are you talking about me?’

Audience members are seen laughing and talking about the shocking moment among themselves before Commissioner Lee Constantine looks at Thall and says, “That was a good performance!”

Meanwhile, Zembower is seen covering his mouth with his hands in disbelief while other council members can’t help but laugh.

Then someone asks, ‘Where does the at come from?’

Constantine replies, “I don’t know,” and so does Commissioner Amy Lockhart.

“I will remember this day forever, forever,” Commissioner and Vice President Andria Herr shouts into her microphone.

Zembower then calls Constantine and says, “Could IT take care of Commissioner Constantine’s technology?”

—I think we should deal with Commissioner Constantine. I don’t think it’s the technology,” Lockhart says as people laugh.

Lockhart then looks at Constantine and says, “You had to have touched something,” as he responds, “I touched that” while pressing a button on a laptop keyboard.

Once the laughter finally dies down, Zembower quickly moves the meeting forward and gives Thall a chance to speak again.

It appeared as if Commissioner Lee Constantine played the recording from his laptop while Thall (pictured) spoke.

“Okay, Mrs. Thall, let’s try this again,” he says. “And believe me, I’m sure this wasn’t directed at you.”

Thall responds, ‘Okay, I’m not sure if I should say thank you or…’, as the room once again fills with laughter.

“I wasn’t sure where that was going,” Thall says.

“None of us were, we were all saying, ‘enough is enough,'” Zembower says.

“That was great, thank you,” Thall says before moving on to his planned agenda.

DailyMail.com has contacted Thall and the Seminole County office for comment.

According to the county website, meetings are held on the second and last Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
