After looking in the mirror, Kelly Reilly, 31, shared her shocked reaction on TikTok, imitating a Long Island mom she thought she looked like.
Her ‘Karen’ hairstyle refers to the inverted bob haircut, which became popular online as a joke about middle-aged women who typically argue and ask to see a manager.
When the California-based comedian returned to her Long Island hometown, she decided to try her mother’s hairdresser, but quickly realized she made a mistake.
In the comedic video, Kelly said, “I cut my hair short and realized it made me look like a Long Island mom in the ’90s!”

‘I just don’t think I can emphasize this enough. I feel like there’s this amount of stuff going on,” she added while giving her bob a sassy bob.

Kelly pretended to be having a conversation on the phone and said, “I feel like I’m like, ‘Hey, it’s Trish.’ Let’s do (Robert) Moses (beach).

Kelly, who was visiting Long Island for her sister’s bachelorette party, shared with news week that her mother booked her an appointment with her personal stylist.
“I was growing out my haircut, so it was kind of like a mullet, and my mom hated it, so she made an appointment for me to ‘get it done,'” he explained.
‘(The hairdresser and I) joked about not making me look “like a chick,” so I thought we were vibing (about the cut).
“We had a great conversation during the cut and I really like her as a person, so I didn’t want to hurt her feelings.
Kelly was adamant about going to another stylist, saying, “I need to get (my hair) done before my sister’s wedding in June.”
‘It added a lot of layers (and) made me look like a grandma.
“My initial reaction was shock, but I totally interpreted it in the chair as loving it.
‘(The stylist) did the best she could: in the end it was a $40 haircut. I don’t have bad blood.
‘As soon as I walked out, I laughed and took photos to send to my friends in Los Angeles.’
This isn’t the first time Kelly has imitated a woman named ‘Trish,’ who lives on Long Island.
She explained: “My sister, my friends and I growing up on Long Island have always played characters like Trish… but in a very loving way.
‘Trish is literally every woman who drove me to soccer practice, planned a play date, and picked me up from school. I was raised by an army of Trishs.
Kelly was adamant about going to another stylist, saying, “I need to get (my hair) done before my sister’s wedding in June.”
