A senior high school from Ohio who secretly filmed with a 14-year-old girl and sent the video to classmates must register as a sex offender for the next 25 years.

Jeremiah Horton, 18, was sentenced Thursday at Hamilton County Common Pleas Court in Cincinnati after being charged with child pornography charges last month.

In addition to being registered as a two-person sex offender, Horton was sentenced to six months in the River City Correctional Center, an alternative to the prison that focuses on the rehabilitation of non-violent offenders, the Cincinnati Inquirer reported.

Prosecutors say that in September, less than a month after he turned 18, Horton sent the hidden camera tactics to classmates.

Horton was arrested after the victim's mother heard the video and came to the police.

Two boys and a girl who subsequently passed the video on to other students via Snapchat and group text messages, were prosecuted as juveniles.

All three young people were sentenced to probation with different requirements.

At the Horton hearing last month, a court official said the victim and her family agreed with the plea and the recommended sentence, WKRC TV reported.

Horton, who was a senior and played in the football team, was banned from North College Hill High School.

Horton & # 39; s lawyer, Carl Lewis, called the incident a & # 39; youthful indiscretion & # 39 ;.

& # 39; I very seriously doubt that you will ever see this young man again in the criminal justice system & # 39 ;, said Lewis.
