Carrie Bradshaw’s favourite high-heel designer has seen sales plummet as the storm clouds gathering over the luxury goods industry continue to darken.

Manolo Blahnik, worn by Sarah Jessica Parker’s character in Sex And The City and model Hailey Bieber, revealed sales hit £91.2m in 2023.

This represented a 10 percent decrease from the previous year.

Profits also fell by a third to £13.2m.

The brand is suffering from a drop in spending on high-end fashion, driven by weak performance in the United States and China.

But the company, founded by the eponymous designer in 1972, called the results “robust.”

Boss Kristina Blahnik, Manolo’s niece, said: “Our performance is the result of an extraordinary year of sales and consumer demand in 2022.”
