Santa Coloma 1-2 Hibernian (1-5 on agg): Jack Ross’s side cruises through to the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League after coming from behind to win the second leg thanks to Jamie Murphy and Dan Mackay goals
- Hibernian had pretty much secured their progression thanks to a 3-0 win in the first leg
- However, they fell behind in the second leg against Santa Coloma in Andorra
- But Jamie Murphy reacted immediately for the Scottish side in the 73rd minute
- Dan Mackay then sealed the win on Tuesday after converting a rebound
Hibs completed their task against Santa Coloma with extreme ease to secure their progress to the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
Jack Ross’s side sealed a comfortable 3-0 win on a night of chaos in the first leg against the Andorran side, and just had to keep their heads together on Thursday night to make progress.
Hibs had fallen behind with just over 20 minutes to go, but the Scottish side immediately hit back.
Jamie Murphy caught the Santa Coloma keeper off the line to curl the ball into the net in the 73rd minute before Dan Mackay completed the turnaround on the evening just three minutes later after converting a rebound from close range.
Hibs saw the game out and took a 5-1 win on aggregate against Santa Coloma.
