Herschel Walker made an embarrassing mistake introducing Donald Trump in Georgia

Herschel Walker made an awkward mistake before introducing Donald Trump at a rally in Macon, Georgia, on Sunday: He told people to go vote for Donald Trump Jr. instead.

The former NFL player and former Republican candidate was addressing a crowd in his home state ahead of Tuesday’s election, and Georgia will be key in the race for the White House between Trump and Kamala Harris.

But instead, Walker, 62, went viral for confusing his words and telling people to vote for someone else.

“This will all be over on Tuesday,” Walker said. “When we go to the polls and vote for my friend and his friend, Donald Trump Jr.”

Walker then tried to correct himself but, if anything, he mangled his words even more.

“Donald Trump – Jonald J. Trump,” he said into the microphone.

The clip immediately went viral on social media, with one fan sharing it and saying, “Herschel Walker talks like my dad texts.”

“Herschel Walker’s introduction of Trump in Macon might be the funniest thing I’ve seen in a minute,” another post read.

Another fan said, “I see Herschel Walker’s sharp political skills are still intact after his Senate loss, as he names *three* different people he wants Georgians to vote for as president.”

The former Heisman Trophy winner gave a speech reflecting on his friendship with Trump, saying, “Donald Trump is not just my friend, he’s your friend, and it’s time for us to step up.” It is no longer time to stay on the sidelines.

‘He has sacrificed a lot for this country, and in many ways. And it really makes me sick when I hear him called all these names.’

Walker ran for the Senate in 2022 but was defeated in a disastrous campaign over accusations that he paid a woman to have an abortion after an affair, despite his pro-life stance. Herschel denied the accusations against him.

Ahead of Tuesday’s vote, Harris and Trump are tied in most polls for the swing state of Georgia.

While Trump was in Georgia, Harris was campaigning in Michigan.
