A Texas high school teacher is credited with saving a 15-year-old girl who was being sexually assaulted on the street.
Heartbreaking footage shows the moment David Garza ran naked from his apartment after hearing the girl crying for help in east Houston last month.
Garza sprang into action, grabbed his gun and scared off the apparent attacker.
Video of the incident shows Garza telling the suspect to get away from the girl as he raises his gun and runs after the attacker.
“I looked out the window and saw a man beating a woman on the ground. He was trying to take her clothes off,” Garza said. KHO.

The teacher said he didn’t think twice after hearing the girl scream and ran to grab his gun.
The suspect reportedly grabbed the victim by the hair when Garza confronted him.
Garza added: ‘I ran outside and asked what was going on. The girl screamed: ‘I’m 15 years old, help me!’ I pointed the gun at her and told her to get away from her.
‘He immediately took his hands off her. He went after her, so I went after him.
Police have released a photo of the suspect, who has not been identified.
“He ran away. He went to the apartment of someone he knew.”
The girl was followed home by the suspect when she got off the bus shortly before midnight on July 28, authorities said.

The suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a white Reebok logo, blue jeans and white tennis shoes, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
