An Israeli mother shot dead by terrorists near Tel Aviv died while protecting her nine-month-old baby from the attack.
Inbar Segev-Vigder was among seven people who died during Tuesday’s horrific attack.
The new mother was protecting her son Ari when she was shot dead, Israel confirmed.
‘She saved his life. There are no words. Only heartbreak,” the country’s official account published on X. ‘May the memory of the victims be a blessing.’
Segev-Vigder, 33, was a pilates instructor and is also survived by her husband, the Times of Israel reports.
Inbar Segev-Vigder died while protecting her nine-month-old baby from the terrorist attack in Tel Aviv on Tuesday.
He died along with newlywed Shahar Goldman, 30, a dancer who married last year.
Ilya Nozadze, 42, Revital Bronstein, 24, and Nadia Sokolenko, 40, also died, the Jerusalem Post reports. A seventh victim has not yet been publicly named.
At least 16 other people were injured during the chaos that unfolded in Jaffa shortly after 7pm.
Two terrorists armed with an M16 pistol and a knife began the attack aboard a light rail train before continuing the attack onto the street.
A joint Shin Bet and Tel Aviv district investigation named Muhammad Mask, 19, and Ahmed Hamoni, 25, as suspects.
The terrorists were fired upon by law enforcement officers and armed pedestrians. Mask died while Hamoni was seriously injured, Israel Police said.
Both men were from Hebron and had not been previously arrested, but were previously involved in “riots,” Israel Police said.

Bystadnder Lev Kraitman was eating schnitzel in the old port area of Tel Aviv when he heard gunshots.
Without hesitation, he ran to the light rail station, where they were on a rampage, stabbing and shooting anyone they crossed.
Kraitman, who saved 20 people from the Nova massacre last year before serving in Gaza, pulled out his gun and confronted the attackers, shooting one of them dead.
The attack came moments before Israel’s defense system stopped a barrage of nearly 200 Iranian missiles.
