After rising to fame as Harry Potter friend Hermione Granger, the actress was spotted last week in Venice with a mystery man wearing glasses that wouldn’t look out of place on the boy wizard.
The couple boarded one of the town’s water taxis and dined at a restaurant on the small island of La Certosa, where they were joined by two others.
Ms Watson, 33, was dating Brandon Green, the son of retail tycoon Sir Philip, but last month it was reported the couple had split after 18 months together.
It was in Venice last year that their relationship became public when they were spotted affectionately holding hands.

After a dinner full of heated conversation, Ms Watson got up to leave, but couldn’t resist taking one last bite as she did.
