Henry Winkler praised the late Donald Sutherland and sent his “sincere condolences” to the son of Hollywood legend Kiefer Sutherland.

Winkler, 78, took to X, formerly Twitter, to send Kiefer the touching message following Donald’s death at age 88.

In the message, the Happy Days alum said that both he and his wife Stacey Weitzman sent their condolences to Kiefer.

Kiefer announced his father’s death with a moving tribute Thursday.

The 24-year-old star said her father Donald, 88, “loved what he did and did what he loved.”

‘It is with great sadness that I tell you that my father, Donald Sutherland, has passed away. Personally, I think he is one of the most important actors in the history of cinema,” Kiefer stated on Instagram.

“I was never daunted by a role, good, bad or ugly. He loved what he did and did what he loved, and you can never ask for more than that. A life well lived.’

Kiefer, who emulated his father with leading roles in films like Flatliners and Designated Survivor, shared a touching image of himself as a child alongside his father during his heyday.

Donald’s Hollywood career spanned decades, including appearances in The Hunger Games and the ’70s horror film Don’t Look Now.

He won several awards for his eclectic variety of film and television roles, including a supporting actor Emmy for Citizen X in 1995.

His most recent appearance came last year as Judge Parker in Lawmen: Bass Reeves, and he was slated to star in the upcoming apocalyptic film Heart Land, which is in pre-production.

Other stars who paid tribute to Donald included Michael Douglas, Rob Lowe and Nancy Sinatra.
