He’s ready to play one of GI Joe’s most iconic characters.

And Henry Golding looked like a hero when he arrived at Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins on Tuesday.

The Crazy Rich Asians actor, 34, beamed the protagonist in cool sunglasses, a fitted black t-shirt, skinny jeans and Chelsea boots to the interview.

Henry, who had just become a father to Liv Lo for the first time, was mask-free when he arrived at the studio, flashing one of his faint smiles.

But when Golding got close to fans waiting to see him, he slipped on a face covering.

After masking, the Malaysian talent signed a few autographs and took selfies before slipping into the studio.

Henry made the rounds right after the release of the final Snake Eyes trailer ahead of the film’s release on Friday, July 23.

The highly anticipated film delves into the backstory of the much-loved action figure/cartoon character.

The official synopsis says: ‘Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir.

Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage Snake Eyes learn the ways of the ninja warrior, while also offering something he has longed for: a home.

During an interview with Ellen DeGeneres about the role last month, Golding explained, “It reboots the GI Joe universe and we focus on one of its most iconic characters, Snake Eyes.

“And we’ll start right at the beginning – his origins, who he is as a person, his mistakes, his lessons, his goals and it pretty much opens the window for exploring the rest of the characters we all know and love .’

For the action movie, Golding needed to hone his fighting skills and he told Ellen that “the training was intense.”

“It was a lot of sword work… Choreography for four hours a day and training for two months and an hour and a half,” he continued. “It was a real trial by fire, but the action scenes are out of this world.”

Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins will be released on Friday, July 23.
