Tominiko, who had not been involved in the initial altercation, shot Tremaine Pasi in the stomach as he lay on the ground after being hit in the parking lot and others trampled on the head, the Herald Sun reported.

Tominiko then shot Tremaine's brother, Foisa on the buttocks.

The brothers were taken to the hospital, where Tremaine required surgery and had to remove part of his intestine with the shot still lodged in his sacrum.

During Friday's sentencing, county court judge Sue Pullen said she was concerned about Tominiko's rehabilitation capacity, saying she hoped that one day the price would fall.
