Helicopter accident in Camballin: two helicopters collide while emergency services arrive at the scene

Two helicopters collided shortly after takeoff in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.

The two helicopters crashed near Mount Anderson Station in Camballin at approximately 6.20am local time on Thursday.

Emergency services rushed to the scene fearing for the well-being of those on board.

WA Police believe the pilots were the only ones inside the helicopters.

The Kimberley Agricultural and Pastoral Company manages the indigenous-owned cattle station.
