Helen opened up about her psychosis for the first time in March after a break from social media, as she explained. She was “struggling emotionally” with her split from ex Scott Sinclair and the demands of being a working single mother.

She began: “Basically, I really struggled with my mental health in December/January,” Helen began her post. I didn’t really feel very good mentally over Christmas and I really didn’t feel much different when I took the kids away for the new year. I had a lot of difficult things that I just can’t talk about on Instagram.

She ended her post by stating that “I’ve always been honest here and I’m in a very happy place now.” Therapy can be amazing and I feel like I’ve worked on myself through things that were pretty hard for me, but now I feel lighter anyway. Sending you love and please be kind.’

As part of her healing and recovery, Helen has focused on exercise and tackling long overdue tasks, such as tidying up her home.

She is also in a better position to co-parent with Scott, as she said she previously had a hard time being alone at home, so she would go out drinking, but now she likes staying home and watching TV.

Helen also admitted that she and Scott even recently met on a dating app and were able to laugh about it.

However, although Helen has tried the app, she doesn’t push it, but insists she still believes in finding the one.

The star previously opened up about their co-parenting and described it as “pretty drama-free”, insisting they have been doing everything they can to make things easier for the children since their split.

She told The Sun: ‘I co-parent with Scott. We were together for a long time. He lives with his mother in Bristol and I live in Manchester with the children. I get along very well with Scott’s mom.

‘I was with Scott when I was between 19 and 31, which is why I get on so well with his mother. Honestly, it makes my life very easy because we go out together. It’s really nice. It’s pretty drama-free since I get along very well with her.

‘Children see their dad all the time, they see their grandmother a lot. We’re always in Birmingham a lot to meet the kids halfway.’
