Heidi Klum undergoes colossal transformations in her quest to scare her fans every year with her sensationally ambitious Halloween looks.

But it is the model herself who is terrified by the “claustrophobic” outfits that leave her unable to hear and find it difficult to remain calm.

Heidi, 51, has earned the title of Halloween queen due to her extravagant costumes each season, having impressed fans around the world with her over-the-top looks at her annual Heidiween celebration for years.

Now, in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, she has revealed the tough mental preparation she faces behind the scenes, while revealing that this year’s costume is already underway.

“The best part is when I come up with a good idea and I feel like it’s happened, but then I’ll let everyone be the judge,” he said.

“Once I step onto that red carpet, the hardest part is always the day itself. I literally step onto it.

‘People get into, let’s say, a boxing ring. It’s not that I have to try very hard, but I have to go within and stay calm because when you have so many things stuck to you and you go through this kind of thing, you have to be calm and dedicate a lot of time to it.

“And because you get claustrophobic with all that stuff stuck together, your skin can’t breathe and it’s tight or something.”

Heidi explained how oppressive her dressing room can be: “You can’t move properly. You can’t hear people properly.

‘So, it’s like I always know when I do this, but in my case, I do it for the art and for the surprise, hoping to surprise people, because I know that people are watching and waiting to see what I’m going to do.

“And I don’t take that lightly. I’m honored that people actually want to know what I came up with again.

“I don’t want to disappoint people. I always give 150 percent and I hope people like what I’ve created.”

Heidi is famous for going to great lengths not to, once spending 10 hours with prosthetics on her body to transform herself into a giant ringworm, despite her team begging her not to.

Heidi started the tradition in 2000, showing off her supermodel figure in a tight-fitting black leather suit.

Her no-holds-barred costumes include Shrek’s Fiona, a man-eating alien, and Michael Jackson as a werewolf in his Thriller music video.

When she’s not wowing the world with her Halloween costumes, Heidi is busy serving as a judge on America’s Got Talent alongside comedian Howie Mandel, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and creator Simon Cowell.

Although she is used to criticizing the contestants on the show, she does not take well being judged herself, and reveals that she has canceled out the online noise by disabling comments on his social media.

Heidi also revealed to DailyMail.com that she turns off her comments on social media because she doesn't want to see people judge her.

“I probably get judged all the time,” she said. “The good thing is that I don’t hear that a lot. That’s also a reason why I don’t turn on my social media features because I don’t want to hear the judgment.

‘I just do what I feel I should do without people telling me what I should and shouldn’t do.

‘I know I get judged all the time and it’s been that way since I started in this industry, especially as a model. That’s what people do.

‘First, you are judged by your appearance. Then, by what you say, what you do, what you eat, what you don’t eat.

“So, I feel like I’ve gotten used to it, but I was probably judged tonight as I was sitting there judging.”
