Betis president Haro has confirmed that Bellerin will return to Arsenal following his loan spell in Spain despite his team’s desire to keep him at the club.
Before his return to the Emirates, the full-back shared a heartfelt message with Betis supporters on social media, describing his spell at Benito Villamarín as a “dream come true”.
“As much as I tried, I find it very difficult to express what this year has meant to me,” he said.
There are no words that I can find to describe my feelings, so I hope these images will help you all understand.

Thanks to everyone at Betis for helping me fall in love with this sport again, for all your passion and for making me feel like one of yours from the first moment.
I want to thank my teammates for their kindness, humility and love since I entered the locker room. You have made me feel like I have been a part of this path for longer than I have.
And he added: ‘Thanks to all the technical and medical staff, for their trust and their work, but also to all those who are behind the club and whose work goes unnoticed.
‘Thanks to the board and directors for believing in me and helping to make a dream of mine come true, a dream that has exceeded all the expectations I had when I arrived at Villamarín.
He thanked the staff at his boyhood club for making him fall in love with the sport again.
And of course, thanks to my family and my people for their love and unconditional support and for bringing me closer to this passion called Betis early on. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU and I hope we can meet again. Live the Betis.
Bellerin’s deal with the Gunners is due to expire in June 2023 and with Cedric Soares and Takehiro Tomiyasu already at boss Mikel Arteta’s disposal on the right flank, he could be set for another exit from the club.
Bellerin seems to have been particularly attracted to Betis and was visibly emotional after playing his last home game against Granada on May 15.
He was hugged by his teammates Borja Iglesias and Aitor Ruibal, but then he couldn’t stop the tears from flowing when his parents accompanied him on the pitch.

Bellerín’s affection for Betis is clear and in January he spoke about how much he was enjoying his loan.
My whole family supported Betis, he said. ‘Everyone at home was following them, my dad and I were staunch supporters. There’s an energy in the stadium that’s hard to describe, it’s fantastic.
‘It’s wonderful to be able to share the amazing atmosphere with the fans. The fans here have a lot of respect for the players, they love football and the club.’
