Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa has responded to her upcoming absence from the new season of the Netflix series.
A poster for season seven of the reality TV show, which focuses on real estate agents at the Oppenheim Group, was released Thursday, with cast member Heather, 36, not in the promotional photos.
The show’s other cast members – Chelsea Lazkani, Amanza Smith, Bre Tiesi, Nicole Young, Emma Hernan, Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, as well as brothers Brett and Jason Oppenheim – were all featured on the poster.
Heather, who has been on the hit series since season one, responded to her notable absence from the cast photo in an Instagram post with a tongue-in-cheek caption.
“It looks like I’ve been pushed into the water… it’s a good thing I can swim!” the real-estate agent joked on social mediaalong with a photo of her looking coquettishly at the camera.

Heather responded to being left out of the poster with a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post, joking: ‘Looks like I got pushed into the water… it’s a good thing I can swim’
‘Congratulations to my girls at S7!’ she continued.
“Maybe you’ll see me in an episode or two.”
Heather also added a photo of the season seven poster, which premieres on November 3.
Fans and castmates flooded her post with comments about her exclusion from the show.
“I love you always, OG,” said Brett Oppenheim – who left Oppenheim Group in 2020 to start his own brokerage, Oppenheim Real Estate.
“You and me both,” joked Davina Potratz, who left the Oppenheim Group ahead of the fourth season.
‘I’m the best swimmer in the office. I will save your pretty face!!!! I love you,” Emma murmured.
Some fans expressed their dismay over the news that she would be appearing less on the show.

In a March interview with E! News, Heather revealed: ‘Season seven is currently filming but I’ve been on maternity leave… and so far I haven’t received a call back’

Heather was missing from the poster for the hit show. The reality star, who is married to Flip Or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, recently had a baby (Heather is pictured with son Tristian)

Heather and Tarek also have their own HGTV series called The Flipping El Moussas, which premiered in March 2023.

Heather (fourth from right) has been starring in Netflix’s Selling Sunset since its 2019 premiere. The show follows a group of real estate agents working for the Oppenheim Group in LA.
“I’m not going to watch if you’re barely in it,” one user wrote.
‘I hated seeing that! Who’s going to keep the peace now!’ exclaimed another.
Heather has said in the past that she was not asked back for the series, which centers on real estate agents selling luxury properties in Southern California.
In a March interview with Adrienne Bailon and Keltie Knight for E! News, Heather hinted that she had not been asked to join the series again.
She told the presenters: ‘Season seven is currently being filmed but I’ve been on maternity leave and I’m excited to get back to work and so far I haven’t had a call back.’
There are a number of changes in store for the brokers working at the Oppenheim Group.
In addition to Heather’s absence, the agents will be working from a brand new office after being housed in a building in LA’s famed Sunset Plaza neighborhood.
There will be eleven episodes next season and the first episode picks up where season six left off.

Friends and fans said on her Instagram post that they will miss Heather in the new season
Heather and her husband, Flip Or Flop star Tarek El Moussa, also have their own HGTV series called The Flipping El Moussas, which premiered in March 2023.
When the show aired, Jason Oppenheim – the president and founder of The Oppenheim Group – was asked about Heather’s future on Selling Sunset, where he said he wasn’t sure.
“I don’t get involved in the future of the officers,” he said at the time.
“I know she will still be with the Oppenheim Group. I think that’s with her and with production and Netflix and all that.”
“I just want her in the office,” the broker continued.
‘I hope she continues to film with us. I learned a long time ago that I shouldn’t get involved in all that stuff.’
