Directed by John Crowley, the film follows Almut (Florence) and Tobias (Andrew) as they embark on a 10-year relationship that is challenged by the limits of time into a deeply moving romance.

They suggested it feels like an “adult” version of the hit 2014 film The Fault in Our Stars, based on the novel by John Green.
Starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, the film tells the love story of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters after they meet at a cancer support group.
The two then embark on a journey that will change their lives and bring them even closer together, through love and ultimate heartbreak.

A sign on the street warned pedestrians that they were entering a filming location and could expect to appear in the movie.
We Live in Time will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
At the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, film production company StudioCanal sold the film to A24 for distribution in the United States.
Nick Payne, who worked as a writer on The Crown, wrote the script and developed the script.
The film is executive produced by Benedict Cumberbatch through his SunnyMarch banner alongside Leah Clarke, Adam Ackland and Guy Heeley.
