Joe Locke and Kit Connor recently confessed that their seven-hour sex scenes left them both feeling “exhausted” and covered in “scabs” on their chins that wouldn’t heal because they had to kiss so much on set.
During an interview with GQ MagazineJoe, 21, and Kit, 20, talked about filming season three and how they took things to the next level, as well as the horror of rewatching the show with their parents.
Revealing how long their naughty scenes lasted, Kit said: “We shot the sexy scenes for seven hours, which, you know, is enough. We were both exhausted. Joe got a huge scab on his chin.”
Joe chimed in saying it was “horrible” while Kit explained that they both had their own stubble, a classic case of beard burn from all the kissing.
The stars also mentioned that they were “kissing so much” during scenes that the scabs weren’t healing, in fact, they were getting worse.

As Joe revealed he can’t stand to watch even the “wholesome sex scenes” with his mother and told her she could watch them alone.
She confessed: “A few weeks ago I was watching the screener with my mum and I almost stopped at episode six, because I thought: ‘You can’t watch this with your mum’. I can’t even watch the sex scenes.”
The actor added: “We went and sat on the couch, but it was tense and awkward and I was like, ‘Yeah, you know what? You can watch this on your own. You have my Netflix account. You have the PIN. Just watch it on your own.'”
This comes after Heartstopper fans were left “crying and vomiting” when Netflix released the trailer for the show’s third season last week.
Netflix viewers couldn’t contain their excitement for the new release when the trailer began with Charlie Spring, played by Joe, listening to music on the beach.
Then Nick Nelson, played by Kit, ran up and gave him a playful punch in the face.
The clip then featured a mix of voiceovers from many of the show’s characters.

He plays Instagram-famous author Jack Maddox.
Viewers were also treated to a few seconds of a live-action version of the comic’s emotional shower scene.

But that’s not what had fans in a frenzy, as many noticed the conspicuous absence of Olivia Colman, who played Nick’s mother in seasons one and two.
While many fans wondered if she had been replaced after seeing a beach scene between Nick and a new mother figure, Olivia has not been replaced.
