Premier David Crisafulli said the latest alleged attack of domestic violence had shaken the state.
“I want Queenslanders to know how much pain the state has experienced and how much it thinks of the young women involved,” Mr Crisafulli said.
‘To his family, to neighbours, to first responders, to all Queenslanders – these are the type of incidents that shake communities.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.”
The Minister of Prevention of Domestic and Family Violence, Amanda Camm, supported what Crisafulli said.
“I also want to express my thoughts and best wishes to the young woman who, as we understand, is still in a serious condition and her condition will evolve over the coming days, but her life will be changed forever,” Ms Camm said.
“All Queenslanders have the right to feel safe in their own home, but many have lived in fear behind closed doors for too long.”
