Texas officials found another abandoned, crying child wandering alone near the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas after he was abandoned by ruthless smugglers.

Footage of the young man shows him crying, holding nothing but a cell phone in his hands, as a state trooper approaches him near Maverick County, Texas.

‘They abandoned me,’ he tells the police officer in Spanish in a video published by the Texas DPS spokesperson Lieutenant Chris Olivarez Thursday. “They don’t want to guide me.”

Through tears, the 10-year-old Salvadoran boy told the officer that he was traveling alone and that his mother was in the United States.

The officer assures the boy that he has arrived in the United States and tells him that he will call the Border Patrol to come get him.

“As many of us celebrate Thanksgiving with our families and friends, let’s not forget that many children will not be able to enjoy the holidays or see their families because they have been put in a terrible situation due to open border conditions “Olivarez posted online.

Children traveling without a legal guardian, what the U.S. government considers “unaccompanied minors,” are granted automatic admission to the country, regardless of how they entered.

Unlike adult immigrants, they will not be returned to their countries of origin.

The legal protocol establishes that the minor will be taken in by the United States Border Patrol, medically evaluated and then handed over to the Office of Refugee Resettlement until they can be reunited with a family member in the U.S. or placed in foster care.

The boy is the second high-profile case of children being dumped across the border by smugglers this week.

On Sunday, a two-year-old girl who could barely speak was found holding a yellow Post-it with information about her relatives in the US.

It has become a heartbreaking norm during the Biden administration when children with names and addresses written on their clothing or tied with safety pins are found alone and helpless.

Also this week, 31 other unaccompanied minors were found in the same area, according to the Texas DPS.

A group of 166 illegal immigrants were detained on Wednesday, including children and five foreigners with special interests from Iran and Türkiye.

In the month of October alone, 125 unaccompanied minors crossed the border between the United States and Mexico, according to federal statistics from the United States Customs and Border Protection.

Since 2022, at least 7,294 children traveling alone have been detained at the southern border.

Ruthless traffickers tell parents that their children will be safe and guided to the authorities, but in reality, the helpless little ones are often abandoned as soon as they cross the international border.

Often, immigrant parents already in the United States work and save enough to pay smugglers to smuggle their children across the border.

However, they place their children in the hands of criminals who sexually abuse the child or worse.

As DailyMail.com reported in September, migrants will use more desperate measures to enter the country before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20.

Texas officials are preparing for a surge of migrants at the border as Trump has promised to seal all entrances once he takes office.
