Tributes have poured in for eight-year-old Raven Contini (pictured) who was tragically found dead after a house burst into flames on Sunday.

Moving tributes have been left outside the home of an eight-year-old girl who died in a horrific fire, while her nanny remains missing.

Emergency services were called to a home on Bayside Court in Thorneside, east of Brisbane, about 7.15am on Sunday.

The house was completely burned and severely damaged when firefighters arrived.

The body of eight-year-old Raven Contini was discovered in the home after searches were delayed due to the collapse of the home’s roof.

Handwritten notes were seen outside the property on Monday, with a letter saying “fly high, beautiful girl” and accompanied by a hand-drawn dove.

Another letter said: ‘You tried everything you could to (be) the beautiful girl.

‘You know everyone loved you. Although I didn’t know you, we will miss you very much.’

It is understood that Raven’s nanny, a woman in her 30s, remains missing while investigations into the cause of the fire are carried out.

“However, we firmly believe that person was also at the scene of the fire,” Queensland Police Service Chief Inspector Karl Hahne said.

“Efforts were made to enter the premises and extinguish the fire.”

Raven’s mother and stepfather were on the interstate at the time of the fire and remember how much the eight-year-old loved to cook, shop and socialize.

“(She was a) very special and much loved eight-year-old girl,” they told Nine News.

‘She was very pretty, she had long hair and she would lift it up when they saw her.’

While no other injuries have been reported, Chief Inspector Hahne said he expected it would take some time to determine the cause of the fire.

“It’s a challenging scene for all emergency services, and I’m sure for the residents and our hearts go out to the families affected by this,” Chief Inspector Hahne said.

‘For the next few hours and even days, this scene will be an ongoing investigation.

“There was some support from neighbors and people around to get it under control.”

Chief Inspector Hahne said the fire was under control by 8am, but firefighters are continuing to make the structure “safe”.

Neighbor Xia Iheng told ABC she had desperately tried to help after witnessing the fire that gutted the house.

“I said ‘I don’t have a hose, I only have buckets’ and a lady helped me water the fire, but it was very strong,” he said.

“I feel overwhelmed, with a lot of emotions, just shocked and exhausted.”

Photos from the scene show that one side of the roof collapsed during the fire.

Queensland Police have declared the fire a crime scene while investigations into the cause of the fire are underway.
