A shelter dog has received an outpouring of love and support, after a heartbreaking video emerged of the animal watching people pass by without adopting it.
Elias, the six-year-old Siberian husky, was filmed peering through the metal bars of his kennel at the Rancho Cucamonga animal care center in California.
The heartbreaking video was posted two days ago on Reddit’s ‘r/RescueDogs’ thread by a user who goes by the name of ‘Stickysmiths’.
He wrote: “It’s the life of a neglected shelter dog. Lots of people walk past the kennels, take a look and move on.
“Unnoticed, forgotten. Adopt to save his life.

In the heartbreaking video, we see the dog watch silently as he is ignored over and over again, with Adele’s “Love in the Dark” playing at the top of the footage.

Although many people have commented on the sad clip, no one has yet said they’ve adopted Elias, so he’s still up for grabs.

In 28 seconds, three different people pass by, pausing briefly to take a look before continuing their search.
