Heartbreak High star denied access to sensory room at Harry Styles’ Marvel Stadium show

Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden claims she was denied access to the sensory chamber at Melbourne’s Harry Styles concert at Marvel Stadium because she “didn’t look autistic enough”

Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden has launched a scathing rant against Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium after claiming she was denied access to the sensory chamber.

The 25-year-old actress, who lives with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), requested room access Friday when she attended a Harry Styles concert and said she was turned away by security.

The sensory room contains noise-canceling headphones, weighted blankets, and fidget tools so that autistic people or those with severe sensory issues have a safe place to go.

Chloé took to Twitter after the concert to express her displeasure at being told she didn’t look “autistic.”

“Hey @marvelstadium, reminder, you can’t preach inclusivity and then not let me in the sensory room because you’ve decided I don’t look autistic enough,” she began.

“How g***amn disappointingly the same venue has proven that flying the watch flag and ticking the disabled box is where the values begin and end,” she added.

The disability advocate has since filed a complaint with Marvel Stadium and shared its contents with the Announce sun.

“As a disabled and active voice and advocate for the disability community, it is exhausting to continue to fight for access and the ability to exist in public spaces – especially in locations that pride themselves on being accessible,” she wrote.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Marvel Stadium for comment.

Chloé’s story follows Em Rusciano’s admission that she, too, would request access to the stadium’s sensory room to help her manage her ASD.

The 43-year-old comedian’s post angered media personality Meshel Laurie, who accused her of “falsifying” her diagnosis for social media influence.

Earlier this month, Rusciano entered into a war of words with Meshel, 49, after Laurie called her a ‘c**t’ in a shocking diatribe.

The podcaster accused Em of “jumping on the bandwagon” for clout and refuses to back down despite being called out by thousands on social media.

Laurie took aim at the Emsolation host after saying she may need to use a “sensory room” when attending the Harry Styles concert at Marvel Stadium due to her newly diagnosed autism.

‘I’m extremely sensitive to light and sound and textures. Sensory overload and burnout happens to me five or six times a week, which is why I was excited when I saw Marvel Stadium had a sensory room,” Em explains on Facebook.

These are just a few examples of how my ASD manifests itself, but I don’t need to explain myself. But this week I found myself putting up with people debating whether I’m autistic enough or not at all. How is that okay?’

In response to Laurie’s attack, Em uploaded a photo of herself looking relaxed in a floral dress and told her fans to leave “troubled” Laurie alone.
