It’s the jaw-dropping moment a cyclist is thrown through the air when he’s hit head-on by a car traveling on the wrong side of the road.
An impatient driver was caught on CCTV as he drove into the wrong lane as he tried to pass a stationary car at a red light.
The horrific incident happened around 7.40pm on Thursday August 31 in Shear Brow, at the junction of Four Lane Ends, Blackburn.
As the silver Seat moved into the right lane, a cyclist riding a bright blue bicycle collided head-on with the vehicle and was thrown from his bicycle into the air.
The motorcyclist stood still for a few moments before rolling sideways as drivers rushed to his aid.

Lancashire Police have confirmed he was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving carelessly and driving – excessive drugs

The driver is currently in police custody and the condition and severity of the cyclist’s injuries are unknown.
