Samantha Miller's father cried in court as he addressed her killer Jamie Lee Komoroski

A grieving father said he hates the drunk driver who killed his daughter on her wedding night and told her he wants to see her in hell.

Jamie Lee Komoroski, 27, was sentenced to 25 years behind bars after admitting to reckless homicide in Charleston, South Carolina, following the 2023 killing of Samantha Miller, 34.

Miller’s new husband Aric Hutchinson was also seriously injured after being struck by Komoroski while he and his new wife were riding on a golf cart after their Folly Beach wedding.

During Komoroski’s sentencing, Miller’s father cried as he told her he was disgusted that she never seemed to take responsibility. He said she could apologize, but he wouldn’t listen to a word.

“I’m going to hate you for the rest of my life,” Miller’s father Brad Warner told Komoroski in court Monday.

“And when I get to hell, and you get there, I’ll open the door for you.”

Hutchinson also addressed Komoroski during her sentencing, revealing Miller’s final words as he sobbed.

“She said she didn’t want the night to end. “I kissed her on the head, and the next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital,” he said.

‘I wish I had died that night. I wish I had seen it coming. I would have jumped off the golf cart just for you to run me over.

“We weren’t hit, we drove through it at a speed of 100 km/h.”

Komoroski was given a 25-year prison sentence and did not take a plea deal, meaning the judge did not have to show her leniency because she spared Miller’s family a trial.

She pleaded guilty at the Charleston County Courthouse to reckless homicide, felony DUI causing death and two counts of felony DUI causing serious bodily injury before she was sentenced.

Police Komoroski was drinking at several bars on April 28, 2023, and driving 65 miles per hour on a narrow Folly Beach road with a 25-mph speed limit when she crashed into the golf cart.

Her blood alcohol level was 0.26 percent, which is more than three times the legal limit to drive. The crash caused the cart to be thrown 100 meters.

The bride died still wearing her wedding dress. The groom suffered brain injuries and numerous broken bones.

After pleading guilty, Komoroski said she now realized she was addicted to alcohol and selfishly did not care how her actions affected others.

She vowed to spend the rest of her life helping addicts and warning about the dangers of drunk driving. She said she was “devastated, deeply ashamed and sorry” for what she did.

“I wish I could go back and undo this terrible tragedy. But I can’t. “I will live with intense regret for what happened that night for the rest of my life,” she said.

She said all of her work will be dedicated to Miller’s memory.

“I pray that God will be by the side of my victims and their families and loved ones for the rest of their lives,” Komoroski said.
