‘HE IS STAYING!’: French newspaper L’Equipe claims Kylian Mbappe has decided to REJECT Real Madrid and sign a massive new three-year deal with PSG after confirming his choice at a summit with club bosses today.
- Kylian Mbappé has decided that he will stay at PSG after the end of the season
- The French superstar had been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid
- Mbappe had exhausted his contract but is now expected to sign a new deal.
- Real Madrid boss Florentino Perez has told his players that Mbappe will not join
French superstar Kylian Mbappe has chosen to stay at Paris Saint-Germain next season despite being close to signing for Real Madrid, according to L’Equipe.
The 23-year-old had been linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes in recent weeks, with his current contract coming to an end in the summer and the two sides failing to reach a new deal.
However, despite the interest shown by Los Blancos, the World Cup winner is expected to sign a new contract with the French giants.

The France superstar was expected to join Madrid after exhausting his current contract in Paris.
The Spanish outfit have been interested in Mbappe since a final £154m bid for Ligue 1’s top scorer fell through at the end of the last summer transfer window.
This led to a season of speculation surrounding the striker’s future, with the expectation that Mbappe would join for free once his current contract expired.
However, Madrid coach Florentino Pérez has informed his team that Mbappé, an expert on Spanish football, will not join the team. Guillem Balague has claimed to have been informed by a source.
Balagué appeared to suggest that Madrid and PSG were willing to pay Mbappé a signing fee of 150 million euros, around £126.7m, along with salaries and bonuses.
The World Cup winner has been embroiled in a contract saga since the end of last season.
Mbappé’s mother, Fayza Lamari, confirmed on Friday that the 23-year-old had concluded talks with both clubs about “almost identical” offers.
Lamari told Kora Plus: “Now we have found an agreement with both Real Madrid and PSG and the discussions are over because it is Kylian who has to choose now.”
The two offers, the one from PSG and the one from Real, are almost identical. In the Real, my son will have control of his image rights. Now we will wait for his decision.
In Real Madrid’s offer we have full power of image rights, instead there is an economic balance that rewards this. In short, there is no difference between the two, they are similar.
Mbappé was named the best player in Ligue 1 in a ceremony with Thierry Henry this week.
Lamari’s comments provide the latest twist in a transfer saga that has taken several twists and turns in recent days.
The World Cup winner revealed last week that he was close to making an announcement about his future, and it was reported that he had agreed to join Real Madrid on a five-year deal.
Mbappé is now expected to reveal his decision before or after PSG’s game with Metz on Saturday night.
