Director James Corden labeled him “the show’s most difficult and obnoxious presenter”.
The 44-year-old actor came under fire from Craig Duncan, who directed an episode of A League Of Their Own.
It comes six months after Corden faced backlash for yelling at staff at New York’s Balthazar restaurant because his wife had an egg yolk omelette with egg white in it.
Corden appeared on the sports comedy A League Of Their Own from 2010 through 2019 and worked with Craig on an episode of the seventh season of the show.
Craig said he was asked to direct a pre-recorded Masterchef-style challenge that would then be on the show, but criticized James as “difficult” to work with.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel Fludded, he says, “The most difficult and obnoxious presenter I’ve ever worked with was James Corden.”
Not impressed: James Corden rated the director he worked with as “the most difficult and obnoxious presenter”

‘Difficult and obnoxious’: The 44-year-old actor came under fire from Craig Duncan, who worked with James on an episode of A League Of Their Own and criticized his behavior.
He explained that he was tasked with bringing out Corden and co-stars Freddie Flintoff, Jamie Redknapp and Jack Whitehall in a cooking challenge.
Craig claimed he was asked to go to a rehearsal to “watch James in action” before agreeing to the shoot.
Recalling the conversation, they said: “How are you doing working with difficult announcers?” I say, “Okay, okay. Well, I’ve pictured all three tenors before, and you can’t get more of a prima donna than an opera singer.”
While watching the rehearsal, Craig claimed that Corden objected to the card he had to read and called the joke an “a**t” and asked to rewrite it.
“It got to a point where he had to read from a card,” Craig said. “It was kind of a joke there, and he looked at it like, ‘That’s not funny, that’s not funny.’” It’s an a**t, we’ll have to rewrite that.”
I don’t know maybe he was having a bad day or the writing didn’t feel right, but I definitely thought someone wrote that, and it’s not a good idea to do that. But TV is not for the faint of heart and sometimes you have to take those smacks on the chin.
However, Craig said he still decided to direct the challenge for the show, but claimed that things got tense when set as Corden was only available for a limited time for filming.
Craig said Jack, Freddie and Jimmy were all very friendly, but claimed there was a “creepy sense of anxiety” on the set as people were “watching the clock”.
The director said the shoot was going “really well” and everyone was really “receptive”, until the final five minutes when they had to film revealing the star who won the cooking challenge.
Craig claimed that he and the crew were working out how to shoot the final cut to “save time” when James “was hopping up” and “walking on his toes”.
“We were working on the problem,” he said, “when the old bug loggers came out, ‘What’s going on here?'” It’s clear what you’re doing – you put a camera there, you put a camera there (…) It’s very clear how you shoot, you idiot.
Craig claimed he told the presenter he was “absolutely right” to appease him and told the camera crew that it was “the best thing to do”.
He said Corden ended up being 45 minutes late to the studio after the ordeal, but claimed he would have finished staring in just six minutes without a break.

Critic: Craig said he was asked to direct a pre-recorded Masterchef-style challenge that would then play on the show, but criticized James as “difficult” to work with

Rage: In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Craig (pictured) said: ‘The most difficult and obnoxious presenter I’ve ever worked with is James Corden’
“I hope I will never work with (James) again,” Craig added.
MailOnline has contacted Corden’s representatives for comment.
The star has also been described as “a little cretin of a man” and was banned last year by the owner of New York’s Balthazar restaurant, who claimed he was the “most abusive customer ever.”
Late last year, Keith McNally announced on Instagram that Corden had been banned from the restaurant as punishment for rude and childish behavior on two occasions.
The first time, Corden was upset to find hair in his food and demanded free drinks to make it up to him, according to McNally.
On the second occasion, his wife, Julia, ordered an omelette with egg yolks and received a plate of egg whites. The final straw was when the omelette was sent with fries instead of salad.
Corden later apologizes for his behavior and Keith has his ban lifted.
In November, James apologized to fellow comedian Ricky Gervais after he “inadvertently” used a 2018 joke on his Late Late Show.
Ricky, 61, tweeted a clip from the TV host’s Halloween night show where Corden repeated the joke from Netflix’s Ricky Gervais stand-up gig: Humanity.
“Inadvertently told a great Ricky Gervais joke on the show last night, obviously not knowing it came from him,” Corden wrote on Twitter.
“It’s great, because it’s a Ricky Gervais joke.” You can watch all of Ricky’s featured shows on Netflix. ‘
Then, Ricky shared a clip of Corden repeating the joke, saying, “The little bit of town yard ad for guitar lessons is awesome.”
But the comedian later said he deleted the tweet because he “felt sorry for” James.
James said on the show: “If someone puts up a poster in the town square that says ‘guitar lessons available,’ like you don’t get people in town to go, ‘I don’t want to play guitar I want to play piano oh piece of s**t! “
Well, this sign wasn’t for you. It was for someone else! You don’t have to be angry about all this.
But James’ joke was a copy – practically word for word – of Ricky’s 2018 joke.
“They chose to read my tweet, and then they took it personally,” Ricky said in his comic sketch.
“It’s like going to a town square, seeing a big billboard and there’s a notice—guitar lessons—and you go, ‘But I don’t want guitar lessons.'”

Embarrassing: In November, James apologized to Ricky Gervais (pictured) after ‘inadvertently’ using a 2018 stand-up prank on his Late Late Show

Apology: “Accidentally told a great joke to Ricky Gervais on the show last night, obviously not knowing it came from him,” James wrote on the social media site.

Controversy: Employees at Balthazar Co. recently accused James of yelling at them after they served his wife an egg-yolk omelet with egg whites in it.
And he added, ‘Well, it’s not for you then, just walk away. Don’t worry about this!’
Ricky noticed how James’ drawing was copied from his 2018 year and tweeted about it.
When a fan asked the British comedian if Corden asked permission to use the joke, he said, “No. I think one of the writers “came in” for it. I doubt he would intentionally imitate such a famous stand-up routine like this.
The Late Late Show later deleted the video of James making the joke from his Twitter page.
