Hawks coach Quin Snyder is ejected after going BALLISTIC at an official during Atlanta’s 123-121 loss to the Toronto Raptors

Hawks head coach Quin Snyder was ejected during the second quarter of Atlanta’s 123-121 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday.

With about four and a half minutes left in the quarter, Snyder went crazy on a referee for not running an illegal screen after point guard Trae Young fell to the ground and appeared to suffer a leg injury.

An incensed Snyder was immediately assessed two technical fouls and sent packing for his reaction to what he considered a missed call that happened directly in front of him and the referee.

Young was able to stay in the game after he took a moment to stay on the ground after the play and finished with 11 points and seven assists.

The Hawks and the referees seemed to be at odds all night after the referees called four of five technical fouls in the first half against Atlanta.

In addition to Snyder’s double technical, Young and Hunter also received technical fouls in the first half.

Immanuel Quickley hit six 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help the Raptors win for the second straight game since the All-Star break.

Scottie Barnes added 20 points and 10 assists for Toronto. Jacob Poeltl scored 12 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

Dejounte Murray led Atlanta with 24 points. De’Andre Hunter added 22 points.

With the Hawks down 121-118 with 18 seconds left, Murray went out of bounds on a Bogdan Bogdanovic dribble, and the Raptors sealed the win on a Bruce Brown dunk with 11 seconds left.
