Football fans salute a sign held by a New Zealand Warriors supporter during his team’s victory over the Brisbane Broncos on Saturday.

The anonymous football fan referenced US internet sensation ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl in a clever poster that debuted in the 32-18 win in Auckland.

The ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl, whose name is Hailey Welch, has become super famous over the last week thanks to a video on social media where she refers to a sexual act.

In the original clip, Welch was being interviewed on the street in Nashville, where she was asked how she gets over a breakup.

“The only way to get over one is to get under another,” he joked.

The interviewer then asked about Welch’s “one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time.”

Welch’s NSFW response almost immediately sent social media into a frenzy.

She used the term ‘Hawk Tuah’ to describe spitting as part of a sexual act.

And as if to show that the clip has reached every corner of the planet, one quick-thinking football fan held up a sign reading: “Hawk Tu-ivasa, dodge that thing.”

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, of course, is the Warriors’ speedy fullback known for his sidestep.

“The Wahs guys have an incredibly strong sign game,” said one fan on X. “Every game, they come up with something truly spectacular!”

Another added: ‘A new standard has been set. Absolute elite level.’

A third fan said: “Great,” while the original poster described the poster as: “Cool.”

But Warriors coach Andrew Webster criticized his team’s decision-making but was pleased with the way they improved on the previous week’s performance.

“Sometimes we make it harder on ourselves,” he said.

‘They still have that feeling of shame from last week.

‘They organized the week in an incredible way, the way we trained. And then all of a sudden you go from being absolutely shattered to rocking and looking confident. Proud of them.’

Despite the Warriors’ dominance, they only led by 10 points at halftime and gave their rivals a chance to get back into the game.

“I thought going 16-6 was a great effort by our guys given the amount of possession the Warriors had,” Broncos coach Kevin Walters said.

“I’m very proud of our guys for their effort, we were certainly in the game for a long time.”

“We just need to improve our skills or our discipline and we will get back on track.”
