The NYPD is looking for three assailants who jumped out of a vehicle and began punching and kicking a few after they yelled anti-Asian slurs at them.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Flushing after a woman and two men got out of their vehicle near the intersection of Junction Boulevard and 38th Avenue.
Three unidentified people were caught on video jumping out of a white SUV and approaching the couple. Police said the group also yelled “ugly Asian” at them.
The victims were taken to hospital with head injuries and the case is still under investigation.

Crime Stoppers posted video of the incident on Sunday asking the public to help identify the individuals in the post.
The 34-second video shows the woman getting out of the passenger seat and starting to throw her hands at someone off-camera.
The car in question is an Acura SUV, which fled west on Roosevelt Avenue after the attack.
Police said the assaulted man and woman were walking down the street just before the trio got out and approached them.
At one point, the woman in the video also threw water at one of the victims.
The two people involved in the attack were an Asian woman and a 24-year-old companion.
The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is now investigating.
Police are asking anyone who can identify any of the three individuals in the video to contact them with information.

A reward of up to $3,500 may be offered for information leading to arrests.
The attack comes as New York City continues to see a crime boom.
In January, the NYPD released their annual review of crime statistics from the previous year.

Rape increased by 7 percent, while homicides fell slightly from 488 in 2021 to 434 in 2022.
Robberies, however, rose a shocking 20 percent, while assaults and theft saw similarly steep increases.
Crimes were up 12 percent by 2022 — 26,039 incidents compared to 22,835 in 2021 — and burglaries by a whopping 25 percent.
All other crime categories – including grand larceny and motor vehicle theft – showed similar increases.
