Harvey Weinstein has been hospitalized, less than two months after being diagnosed with cancer.

The development was first reported by TMZwho spoke with the disgraced producer’s lawyer.

The lawyer confirmed that the recent visit is related to his high-profile client’s recent leukemia diagnosis, delivered in October.

In the weeks since, the 72-year-old has been receiving treatment at Rikers Island, where he is being held ahead of another sex crimes trial.

That is still scheduled for 2025, prompting a representative for the convicted rapist to air last month his client’s intention to sue the city for rejecting his requests to be released so he could undergo outside treatment.

Weinstein’s team, at the time, further claimed that the deal constituted “continued medical malpractice.”

News of the lawsuit emerged the same day Weinstein visited Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital on Nov. 8, for unspecified reasons.

The still-hidden visit came on the heels of several others by the former movie mogul, who has been plagued by health problems even before his recent bone marrow cancer diagnosis. On Monday, Weinstein’s lawyer Imran Ansari spoke in depth about the recent visit.

“(Weinstein) has been suffering from a lack of adequate medical care and enduring deplorable and inhumane conditions at Rikers Island,” he said, repeating claims made in the November lawsuit that names as defendants both the hospital and the government agency that manages it.

Ansari went on to cite “an alarming blood test result” that was cause for concern, enough for his client to be rushed from Rikers to Bellevue.

Without offering further details, the jurist admitted that the convict’s condition is treatable, but that it was serious enough for officials to abandon his current prison treatment plan.
