The electrical engineer, from East Kilbride, was enjoying the night out in a VIP box when he lost his balance and fell over a barrier – landing on chairs a few feet below and knocking himself unconscious.

Footage from the incident shows the crowd dancing on their feet before the silhouette is seen waving as they fall to members of the audience below.
Nearly 50,000 fans attended the sold-out concert, the first of Harry Styles’ 32-city tour.
Mother of four Marion said: ‘We didn’t know what injuries he had, so he was put on a ventilator to keep him stable.
“It was touch and go that night, but the scans all came back clear and he has no broken bones.
“It’s a complete miracle that he’s still around and walking away with nothing but cuts and scrapes. I was sick watching the video of it.
“Dylan was on the phone crying to me today. I think it makes it clear to him how serious it was and how close he got to not being there.”
It is understood that Styles performed his song Kiwi during an encore when the incident took place.
Traumatized witnesses told how Dylan fell from the Club Deck, above the main stand, towards the end of the show and watched in horror as paramedics resuscitated him.
Marion shared Dylan’s account of what happened, adding: “Dylan told me he leaned against the railing in the VIP box and remembered that he thought it was quite low.
“He can’t remember exactly, it’s a little blurry, but he thinks he leaned against it, misjudged it and fell backwards. It has all gone so fast.
“He was knocked out and remembers coming up to him and getting scared when people grabbed him. Paramedics were called and they got him out of there and worked on him in the ambulance before taking him to the hospital.
Dylan’s mother Marion Hawkins said it’s a “miracle” that her son came out of the horror trap relatively unscathed, describing her panic when she got the phone call that he was injured.
