Harry Maguire’s wife Fern Hawkins enjoy their honeymoon in Positano

They tied the knot at a lavish French châteaux ceremony last weekend, which reportedly cost the couple £500,000.

And Harry Maguire and Fern Hawkins are enjoying their first week as husband and wife on their honeymoon in Positano on the Amalfi Coast.

The Manchester United player, 29, shared a photo of the couple enjoying a boat day with the stunning backdrop of the city in the background.

In the smiley photo, Fern, 27, looked incredible in a tiger print bikini top that emphasized her slim figure, teamed with a sarong.

She sat next to her shirtless husband who wore only navy blue shorts as they soaked up the rays of the sun together.

Harry wrote “time away with the wife” below the image, and Fern returned his affection with the comment “hubby.”

The couple’s wedding singer – who sang his song Little Bit Of Love during their first dance – commented: “Love it brother.”

Harry also posted a photo of himself posing against a beautiful seascape, captioning the image “beautiful place.”

Harry flew on his honeymoon with his new wife – but not before getting permission from his new boss Erik ten Hag.

He is said to have sought the blessing of the Manchester United manager, who assured that he could return to training late if necessary.

A club insider told the mirror: ‘He doesn’t have to come back until next week, even though Ekin ten Hag wanted them there early. Harry always stays in shape and was jogging with Jordan Pickford in France.”

Harry’s representative told MailOnline: “The club is fully aware. He doesn’t have to ask for permission either, because he is still in the agreed holiday period.’

After the wedding, the couple both shared a look at their big day on social media.

Fern shared a romantic new photo of the couple’s fairytale ceremony on Saturday in a luxurious 13th-century French château spanning 100 acres and £350 a night.

He shared the first photo of their wedding on his Instagram page on Saturday afternoon.

Harry and Fern shared a sweet kiss on the altar after being declared husband and wife, with guests including English star Jordan Pickford and his wife Megan.

Earlier this week, Harry and Fern shared an insight from their wedding reception with a live performance by Tom Grennan.

The pair’s first dance was to the singer’s hit song Little Bit Of Love, which was watched by their celebrity friends, including Jack Grealish and Sasha Attwood.

A clip of the dance was shared on Instagram by Fern, who gazed fondly at her new husband as they slowly danced to the song.

Jack’s model friend Sasha shared a series of snaps from the bash to her Instagram Stories as the couples posed together on the dance floor.

Prior to the christening, Fern removed the sleeves from her now strapless wedding dress to transform the look into an evening gown.

She sipped a drink mixed with Coco-Cola while Sasha held a glass of wine during the drunken party as they took to the dance floor together.

Sasha wrote to her photo gallery: ‘One of my beautiful besties and her soul mate got married. Thanks for the most wonderful days.

She added: ‘It was perfect from start to finish, wish you a lifetime of happiness. Fern, you looked breathtaking. We love you xxx.’

Sasha and her “bestie” Fern cuddled in a few snaps as they clung to each other on the dance floor.

The L’Oréal ambassador also glimpsed the wedding decor, as she shared a photo at a beautifully set table with ornate plates, napkins and table decorations.

The table had an incredibly floral centerpiece with a variety of different roses and dinner candles in elegant holders.

Fern herself also shared a look at some of the floral displays, while also posting a photo with her new husband as they sat at the table.
