Harry Kane, captain of the England football team, Rishi Sunak, told the British Prime Minister that he hopes to become the historic scorer in the English Premier League, after he became the historic scorer for his country.
Kane scored his 54th goal in 81 matches for England in a 2-1 win over Italy away from home in a Euro 2024 qualifier last Thursday, to surpass Wayne Rooney’s record.
In a conversation via the “FaceTime” application with Sunak, the Tottenham Hotspur striker said that he aspires to break the record of Alan Shearer, who scored 260 goals in the Premier League.
Kane currently has 204 goals in the competition, and only Shearer and Rooney scored more than this number (208 goals).
Ken told Sunak, who congratulated the ′′ 29-year-old ′′ player on Twitter on Saturday: Yes, I’m definitely after this number, I’m getting close so I’d definitely like to achieve this.
