Harry Kane is in a race against time to prove his fitness for Thursday’s clash against Greece after missing training on Tuesday.

The England captain has been cleared to remain with the team for upcoming Nations League matches despite suffering groin and ankle problems in Bayern Munich’s draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.

But Kane missed Tuesday’s training session at St George’s Park and remained indoors to work on an individualized program.

It is understood Kane is not completely ruling out playing against Greece at Wembley on Thursday night and is recovering day by day.

But if the 31-year-old does not train with his teammates on Wednesday, Kane is likely to miss at least the start of the match against the Greeks.
