Despite leaving the club in the summer, Harry Kane has insisted he remains a Tottenham fan and praised the impact of Ange Postecoglou.
The 30-year-old completed a £100million move to Bayern Munich after being unsuccessful in his attempts to claim silverware in north London.
Since then, under their new coach, Spurs have revived and sit at the top of the Premier League going into the international break.
Kane, who has quickly adapted to life in Germany and scored nine goals in 10 games, admitted he will always have a ‘soft spot’ for his boyhood club and praised Postecoglou’s efforts.
‘It’s great to see. I think I’ve said before, the manager is doing a great job for them with the way they’re playing.’ He said. ‘The fans are right behind the team and it’s certainly what they needed after the last few years.

Ange Postecoglou has completely transformed the fortunes of a team that struggled last season
‘I will always keep an eye on Spurs and the Premier League. Of course, there’s still a long way to go, but as the manager said, there’s no reason why the fans shouldn’t be excited and happy with the way things are going. Hopefully they can continue.
‘I have made it clear throughout my career that I am a Tottenham fan and I would like to see Tottenham do well. There is no other team in the Premier League that I would want to beat than Tottenham.”
Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the season has some fans dreaming of an unlikely title shot and their run of fixtures after the break could see them retain their position at the top for another week.
“I also have to be respectful towards Bayern Munich and of course the fans know that I will always have a soft spot for Spurs,” said Kane. ‘There’s no doubt about that, but I have to focus all my attention on Bayern Munich and make us as successful as possible.
‘So I’m sure there will be questions, especially if Tottenham do well. Of course I hope they do as well as possible, but my main focus is on where I am now and trying to perform for Bayern.’
