And Kane has taken another important step towards fitness by returning to the club’s headquarters to begin the next phase of his rehab.
Manager Jose Mourinho refused to put a date on his comeback – but said he hoped Kane would be available for the final ‘four or five’ games of the season.
“I’d say a little ahead [of schedule]. It gives me hope, “said Mourinho. ‘Instead of [being back for] one or two matches, [it could be] three, four or five.
‘We speculate a little, but the feelings are good. He does what he can do at this stage and always with a good feeling.
‘Sometimes you follow the protocols and have setbacks because you have a bad feeling with certain movements, but it is going well. Hopefully he can help us in the last part of the season.
“He’s the kind of man who doesn’t accept a protocol or a single date or contest [for his return]. He is a great professional and a fighter and he wants to be back as soon as possible.

“He is clearly a great professional and a fighter and he wants to be back as soon as possible. What “as soon as possible?” I don’t know. “
The Tottenham boss also revealed that Son Heung-min could be available for the closing games of the season after surgery to repair a broken arm.
Mourinho feared that Son would miss the rest of the season with the injury he sustained against Aston Villa, but he could play with a cast to accelerate his return to action.
The attacker returns from Korea, where he underwent surgery this weekend.
Jose Mourinho also said the South Korean attacker Son Heung-min could return this season
Spurs is not worried that Son may be infected by the corona virus during his stay in Seoul because the closest cases are 150 miles away.
Mourinho said: ‘That is a lot again, but we are of course far from it. He is coming back to England very quickly. Then he will of course have to follow some security protocols because he is flying from Seoul.
“When his recovery starts, we try all the options to get him back for a number of matches. I can’t imagine when. But there is a good possibility that Harry and Sonny will play together before the end of the season. “

Asked what advice players had received about the corona virus, Mourinho added: “I think the normal advice comes from the authorities, from the government. I am not going to comment, I am nobody, I am not a specialist.
‘I only get legal advice and what my club gets from the authorities, and of course we follow everything.
“That’s why I say that when Sonny is back from Seoul, he must follow the protocols and we won’t have him here right away.”
