Controversial Chiefs star Harrison Butker got friendly with conservative commentators Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly on Thursday night.
The 29-year-old Kansas City kicker, who sparked liberal outrage for his personal religious and political beliefs earlier this year, attended Carlson’s live show, with special guest Kelly, at the city’s T-Mobile Center.
After the show, which was part of Carlson’s first national tour, the Super Bowl winner went backstage to meet with media personalities.
They even commemorated the moment with a photo of the conservative trio that was shared on the host’s Instagram and reposted on the NFL player’s story.
Butker’s meeting with his “friends” came just a day after Kelly launched a harsh attack on Taylor Swift, the girlfriend of his Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce.

Kelly claimed the singer and her tight end boyfriend Kelce, also 34, were “the epitomes of elite snobs” who didn’t really care what happened to American children because they were too busy “traveling all over the world” and “sitting in their mansions.”
The media personality continued to criticize the Grammy Award winner. as “disgusting” for her statement, which was shared with her 284 million followers on Instagram, and claimed the singer and NFL star were “too obsessed with their money” to focus on the country’s growing problems.
“You can kiss your sales pitch to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor, I hope you enjoyed them while you had them,” Kelly said.
In her lengthy Instagram post, Taylor promised she will “make sure to watch and read everything I can” about Trump and Harris’ “proposed policies and plans for this country.”
He said he planned to vote for Kamala because he believed the 59-year-old “fights for the rights and causes that I think need a warrior to defend them.”
He also praised Kamala’s running mate, Tim Walz, for “championing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
Butker has sparked controversy with her own views on women’s and LGBTQ+ rights this year.

In her lengthy Instagram post, Swift praised Harris’ running mate Tim Walz for “championing LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
He sparked outrage a couple of months after helping the Chiefs win their second straight Super Bowl when he told Benedictine College graduates they should be more “excited” about becoming wives and mothers rather than successful professionals.
He later reaffirmed the views he expressed in the speech and refused to back down on his views as a devout Catholic.
He also received criticism for attacking the LGBTQ+ community and President Joe Biden for his views on abortion, and a petition calling for the Chiefs to remove him from their roster ultimately received nearly 240,000 signatures.
Last month, he implored Trump’s running mate JD Vance, and by extension the former president, to get the Republican Party to reverse its stance on abortion.
While Kelce has previously defended Butker, the kicker’s latest move could pose a threat to the peace within the Chiefs’ camp.
Shortly after his girlfriend’s statement supporting Harris, it was reported that Kelce was expected to make his own surprising election announcement soon.
Butker sparked outrage with a controversial commencement speech earlier this year.
Kelce has remained silent on his girlfriend’s support. However, it has been suggested that the NFL star shares a similar stance.
“Well, you know I find the Taylor Swift rumors interesting, because I was told a couple of days ago that Travis Kelce had also reached out to the Harris campaign when it was first announced and said he wanted to be here the night that (Kamala) spoke,” CBS’ Gayle King said during the Democratic National Convention last month.
It’s not the only political divide that could risk derailing the Chiefs’ three-game winning streak this season after it emerged that Swift and her best friend Brittany Mahomes (the wife of quarterback Patrick) were also on different sides of the U.S. political spectrum.
Brittany, who has been married to the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback since 2022, sparked a liberal meltdown last month when she liked a Donald Trump post on social media.
The close friends’ opposing political views have raised fears about what they could mean for their budding friendship.
However, despite the controversy, Brittany and Taylor dispelled any rumors of bad blood when the Mahomeses joined the singer and Kelce at the US Open on Sunday.
Chiefs teammates Patrick Mahomes and Kelce previously defended the kicker amid criticism.

A source exclusively told DailyMail.com that “we respect that they have different views” and that they made a “pact” to avoid discussing politics last month and the couples appeared to be more than friendly as they enjoyed the action on the court.
Meanwhile, Mahomes himself has played a peacemaker role, offering a thoughtful response when asked about his own political stance earlier this week.
“I don’t want my platform to be used to endorse a candidate; either way, I use it to get people to register, do their research and make the best decision for themselves and their families,” the quarterback told reporters Wednesday.
“Every time I get asked these questions, I’m going to come back to them because I think that’s what makes America so great.”
