A former Kansas City Chiefs cheerleader criticized kicker Harrison Butker in light of his controversial graduation speech.

Butker’s May 11 commencement speech at Benedictine College sparked a lot of backlash for his sexist and homophobic comments. Additionally, Butker took aim at US President Joe Biden for supporting abortion.

On Thursday, Stefanie Hills, who cheered for the Chiefs from 2018 to 2024, took to TikTok and responded to the kicker as she discussed his incendiary remarks.

Hills referred to Butker imploring people to “stay in their lane” and said, “Brother, take your own advice.” Kick some balls. Stay in your damn lane.”

“I guess we went to the same public relations training,” Hills said after noting that he cheered for Butker for six straight years.

“The most important takeaway is that you now represent a billion-dollar organization, you are no longer just Harrison Butker, you are now Harrison Butker, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs,” he continued. ‘And anything you say or do that doesn’t align with that brand will be grounds for dismissal. I’m not entirely sure if that last part will apply to you, but I guess we’ll find out.

Hills went on to break down Butker’s comments on abortion, IVF, surrogacy, euthanasia and COVID; According to her, bosses told employees not to publicly discuss the latter.

“You know we had a whole fucking PR training on COVID, bro,” Hills said. “We weren’t supposed to talk about it.”

Since the speech gained traction, NFL Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Jonathan Beane said Butker’s views do not align with the NFL’s values. However, the league and the Chiefs have not yet commented on the matter.

During his speech, Butker called Pride Month a mortal sin and said COVID 19 was a fiasco.

Harrison Butker gave a speech in his personal capacity. Their views are not those of the NFL as an organization,” Beane said Wednesday. “The NFL is steadfast in our commitment to inclusion, which only strengthens our league.”

Hills went on to criticize Butker’s statements, calling members of the LGBTQ+ community “mortal sinners” and stating that the greatest title a woman could have is housewife.

“Gays love football,” he said. “We don’t want to lose them as an audience, so you might want to reconsider calling them mortal sinners.”

“You know we’re not going to look at this from a public relations standpoint,” Hills continued, quoting Butker’s housewife comment. “But I do want to let you know that the Kansas City Chiefs offer a 100% covered therapist.”

“Both men and women and I advise them that they probably have to unpack that with both professionals.”
