A man returned home from work to find around 500 used tires neatly stacked in his driveway after a mysterious delivery he never ordered.

While Harjeet Singh Rai and his wife were at work, two men arrived at their home in Blacktown, west of Sydney, shortly before 10am on Wednesday.

One by one, the men rolled tires from a large white truck into the property’s driveway in a bizarre delivery, he reported. 9 news.

Some tires passed through the couple’s yard on their way to the end of the driveway, which is located on the side of the house.

The tires continued to discharge until approximately 500 of them filled the space of the couple’s car, stretching almost the length of the house.

The two men, wearing gloves, stacked them against the couple’s wheelie bins at the end of the driveway and against the wall of the house.

It took four hours to unload and stack the tires, causing a stir among residents.

“I told my husband, we’re in the wrong kind of business, we have to get into tires to build a house like this,” one said.

When Mr. Singh Rai arrived home that same day, he initially thought he had come to the wrong house.

Mr. Singh Rai has not yet found the rightful owner of the tires, but would like them to come and remove them from his property so he can regain space on his car.

“I was surprised,” he said.

A friend of Mr Rai chimed in: “First I started laughing, then we took things seriously, when you see the amount, it’s crazy.”

The delivery of so many tires to a residential house was evidently a mistake, but Mr. Singh Rai is yet to find the rightful owner.

‘Come, take this away. We’re not going to tell them anything because they’re very good, so take it with a grain of salt,” she said.
