Hardworking Australian wakes up his wife to let her know he just won $1.7 million on TattsLotto
A Victoria man has admitted waking his wife from a peaceful sleep in the early morning to reveal her life-changing $1.7 million win from the weekend’s TattsLotto.
Gippsland residents held one of three winning Division 1 entries in TattsLotto draw 4401, drawn on Saturday 23 September 2023 and pocketed a total prize of $1,720,294.16.
The duo explained that their minds were still racing despite discovering their new fortune on Sunday morning.

“It changes our lives. We had to stop everyone’s thoughts from running wild.
The winning wife couldn’t contain her excitement and shared how this million dollar discovery came about.
“He showed up Sunday morning at 6:10 and woke me up in a frenzy,” she shared.
“He told me we won $1.7 million, but he thought it was some kind of scam. I also thought he was joking, but then we looked into it together and realized it was real.
With $1.7 million about to increase their bank account and plans for the future, Victorians were eager to step back and relax for the years to come.
“Honestly, we’re not sure exactly what we want to do with this award, but we’re looking forward to living life with a little ease. We have worked hard all our lives,” she said.
“We continue to think about things to do, but we would like to be realistic and make wise decisions.
“One thing we do know though is how to celebrate and that’s exactly what we did this weekend.
“We will keep this win to ourselves because we live in a small town, but that makes it very special.”
Their 50 game winning QuickPick was purchased from Raymond Street Lotto, 189 Raymond Street, Sale.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4401 on September 23, 2023 were 13, 16, 21, 29, 45 and 4, while the additional numbers were 11 and 6.
Across Australia, there have been three winning Division 1 entries in TattsLotto draw 4401 – two in Victoria and one in New South Wales.
Lott’s Premier Division win total has now reached 303 so far in 2023, with 101 won by Tatts customers.
