Hard Solo will be renamed after soft drinks company was bombarded with complaints over alcoholic brand – here’s what it will be called now

Soft alcoholic drink Hard Solo will be renamed Hard Rated following a series of complaints against the manufacturer.

Carlton & United Breweries announced on Thursday that the ready-to-drink lemon alcoholic beverage would undergo a rebranding after a ruling by the Alcoholic Beverages Advertising Code (ABAC) system.

The brewery said it had previously checked the name with ABAC and it was deemed appropriate, but it has since changed its decision and deemed it to be in breach of the code.
